International Day of Light at the 2nd Edition of Conexão AsBAI
May 16, 2024 – On International Day of Light, we had the honor of participating in the second edition of Conexão AsBAI. This event celebrates the importance of light in our lives and highlights the main current actions of the Brazilian Association of Lighting Architects (AsBAI), of which we are members.
This year’s Conexão AsBAI was an inspiring moment on an important day for those passionate about light. The event brought together professionals and enthusiasts in the field to explore lighting in areas that do not permeate our daily routine. The highlight of the event was the presence of the renowned architect and lighting designer, Mari Pitta.

Inspirational Lecture: “The Aesthetics of Light in Entertainment”
Mari Pitta, founder and technical director of LABe – Laboratório de Entretenimento, presented an inspiring lecture on the theme “The Aesthetics of Light in Entertainment.” In her presentation, Mari explored how lighting can transform experiences in entertainment, highlighting its importance not only for aesthetics but also for creating immersive atmospheres that capture the audience’s imagination. Her creative and technical approach demonstrated how light is an essential element in visual storytelling, influencing emotions and perceptions.
