Omega at Milan Design Week: What Inspired Our Minds
From April 8 to 13, Milan became the global epicenter of design and lighting during the iconic Design Week — and we were there, closely following the most relevant events in the field, including Euroluce 2025, hosted within the prestigious Salone del Mobile.
This year’s edition reaffirmed light as a protagonist in contemporary design. With a focus on sensory experiences, environmental awareness, and modular solutions, Milan showcased a new generation of lighting products that go beyond technical function — transforming light into language, material, and emotion, and revealing a more human, connected, and inspiring future.

Design That Connects: Light, Matter, and Emotion
At the 2025 edition of Milan Design Week, design revealed itself as increasingly responsive to nature, time, and people. Organic aesthetics stood out through the use of living materials such as wood, bamboo, felt, and cork — creating a tactile and visual bridge to nature. Soft textures, earthy tones, and welcoming surfaces expressed a collective longing for comfort and well-being.
Light, in turn, stepped out of the background to become an emotional protagonist. Luminaires emerged as delicate sculptures that shape atmospheres and influence how we experience space. Indirect lighting and thoughtful attention to glare demonstrated a more poetic, human-centered approach.
Within this broader vision, modularity stood out as a key theme: smart, adaptive systems with high levels of customization empowered users to become co-creators. These were products designed to evolve, adapt to diverse spatial contexts, and reduce waste while extending their lifespan — blending practicality with the desire for identity in spaces.
Nostalgic tones and rounded shapes brought an elegant retro flair, evoking emotional memories through design. At the same time, portable lighting solutions grew in prominence — featuring touch-sensitive controls, water resistance, and a visual language that embraces the fluidity of contemporary living.
To complete the experience, the event also celebrated lighting as an art form. Poetic installations crafted from hand-blown crystal and traditional techniques embraced the beauty of imperfection, proving that the future of lighting design lies in the harmony between innovation and craftsmanship.

It’s inspiring to witness how the industry evolves when technology, art, and purpose come together. With an expanded perspective, we remain attentive to change, open to innovation, and committed to delivering lighting solutions that are beautiful, intelligent, and deeply respectful of life.
