World Recycling Day: Our impact with waste disposal

World Recycling Day (05/17) is an essential date to reinforce the importance of environmental preservation and responsible use of natural resources. Here at Omega, we are doing our part with selective collections to promote sustainable practices among our employees and reduce our impact on the planet.

Selective Collection

Selective collection is not just about gathering recyclable materials; it is a commitment to behavior change and a more conscious mindset regarding our impact on the planet. By separating waste into appropriate categories, we are minimizing waste, conserving resources, and reducing pollution.

Since January 2024 until now (April 2024), we have correctly disposed of a total of 1086kg of waste, including plastic, cardboard, and glass, which are collected by cooperatives that transform what would be landfill-bound into new objects with new purposes. This reduces the demand for virgin raw materials and minimizes the extraction of natural resources, contributing to the preservation of fragile ecosystems and the conservation of natural habitats.

Commitment to Sustainability

We are concerned about how our industry can become a threat to the environment and its conservation if we do not pay attention to the effects of our routine, so we believe that small actions lead to big changes. Each recycled item is a contribution to a greener and more conscious future. That’s our manifesto!
